American business leaders call for more solar funding, not only to push towards a “greener” environment, but also to create new jobs amid the recession.

 

In India, solar technology is also starting to boom. The Indian government and major banking groups have invested in programmes for developing this technology. There’s even the Indian Solar Loan Programme, a partnership with United Nations Environment Programme, for creating a consumer financing program for solar home power systems. But are these efforts enough?
